OK, I’ve checked out the details of the video game license, but it is too expensive. I’m an independent game developer who creates games for iPads and mobile phones, so which license would be more suitable?

Can I use a font in a video, film credits or motion graphic?
Under the standard license agreement, The Northern Block fonts can be used in a video, title credits or motion graphic project which are freely distributed to your friends, clients or customers.

Can I use the font in a webpage or website?
Under the standard license agreement, you can create graphics which are converted into bitmaps (static images) for use in your webpage or websites. You are not permitted to use the font as part of a website hosted on one or more web servers, using web font technologies, such as @font-face, sIFR, Cufón or Typeface.js. What about publishing a book?
Under the standard license agreement, The Northern Block fonts can be used as part of a book publication which are freely distributed to your clients or customers.

If the published books, forms any part of a commercial product that are sold and distributed at cost using The Northern Block fonts as the main selling element (over 50% of the pulblished content), then you will require additional licensing.

Can I create an electronic document or data file using the font to send to a printer?
Yes, the font can be sent to a printer, graphic designer or other service providers that are working on your behalf only if they agree to use the font exclusively for your work, agree to the terms of this license, and retain no copies of the font on completion of the work. You may not provide the font or make it accessible to any other third parties.

I would like to change some of the characters using a font editing software?
Under the standard license agreement you are not permitted to make modifications to The Northern Block fonts without prior written consent. Please read clause 6. Modifications in the standard license agreement for further details: Standard License Agreement

What about using fonts with digital TV boxes, program guides and other various hardware and software products?
