App and Ebook License Agreement

This App and Ebook License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and The Northern Block Ltd (the "Licensor") for the use of font software ("Font Software") in mobile apps and eBooks.

By downloading, installing, or using the Font Software in your app or eBook project, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not permitted to use the Font Software in your app or eBook.

1. Number of Users

The Font Software is licensed for use in one mobile app or eBook project. This license covers the use of the font in a single app or eBook. If you need to use the font in multiple apps or eBooks, you will need to purchase additional licenses.

2. Acceptable Uses

The Font Software may be used for the following purposes:

  • Mobile Applications: The font may be embedded into a mobile app (iOS, Android, etc.) for use in the app's interface, titles, menus, and other textual content.

  • eBooks: The font may be embedded into an eBook, including text content such as headings, paragraphs, titles, and any other readable content.

  • Commercial and Non-Commercial Use: You can use the font for both commercial and non-commercial apps and eBooks.

3. Unacceptable Uses

The Font Software may not be used for:

  • Non-App or eBook Use: The font cannot be used for websites, physical print, or other products unless the appropriate license (such as Web License or Desktop License) is purchased.

  • Resale or Redistribution: The font cannot be resold or redistributed as part of a standalone product, such as a font package, or embedded in a product that allows the font to be extracted or reused independently.

  • In-App Merchandising: The font cannot be used for the design of physical products for sale (e.g., t-shirts, mugs, etc.) unless an additional Merchandise License is purchased.

4. Font Installation

The Font Software may be embedded in one mobile app or eBook. If you need to use the font in multiple apps or eBooks, you must purchase additional licenses. The font must be embedded in the app or eBook in a way that does not allow users to extract or modify the font files.

5. Third Party Usage

You may provide the Font Software to a third-party developer or publisher working on your mobile app or eBook project, as long as:

  • They use the font exclusively for your app or eBook.

  • They agree to the terms of this Agreement.

  • They delete all copies of the font upon completion of the project.

You may not redistribute the Font Software to any third parties for any other purpose.

6. Embedding the Font

You are permitted to embed the Font Software in your app or eBook for use in the design and presentation of text. However, the font cannot be embedded in a way that allows users to extract or reuse the font outside of the app or eBook. It must remain part of the content and not be editable by end users.

7. Modifications

You may modify the font by adjusting text size, color, and position within your app or eBook. However, you may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Font Software itself without prior written consent from The Northern Block Ltd.

8. Ownership

All rights to the Font Software remain with The Northern Block Ltd. This license grants you the right to use the font within your mobile app or eBook, but you do not acquire ownership of the Font Software itself.

9. Termination

This Agreement will automatically terminate if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Font Software in your app or eBook and destroy all copies of the font.

10. Warranty and Liability

  • Warranty: The Licensor warrants that the Font Software will perform as expected for 30 days after installation. During this period, if any issues occur, you may contact the Licensor for support and resolution.

  • Limitation of Liability: The Licensor is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Font Software, including lost profits or business interruptions.

11. Redistribution

You may not redistribute the Font Software in any way. The font is licensed solely for use in your app or eBook and may not be resold, transferred, or shared with others.

12. General Terms

  • Modifications: The Licensor reserves the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time. The Licensee is bound by the most current version of the Agreement.

  • Jurisdiction: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
