Broadcast and Streaming License Agreement

This Broadcast and Streaming License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and The Northern Block Ltd (the "Licensor") for the use of font software ("Font Software") in broadcast and streaming media.

By downloading, installing, or using the Font Software for your broadcast or streaming project, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not permitted to use the Font Software in your broadcast or streaming content.

1. Number of Users

The Font Software is licensed for use in a single broadcast or streaming project. This license covers the use of the font in one specific television, video, or streaming program. If you need to use the font in multiple projects, you will need to purchase additional licenses.

2. Acceptable Uses

The Font Software may be used for the following purposes:

  • Broadcast TV & Video: The font can be used in television broadcasts, video productions, or any other on-screen text such as titles, credits, and subtitles.

  • Streaming Platforms: The font may be used for live streaming or on-demand streaming platforms, including for titles, credits, and any other textual content shown on screen.

  • Films and Documentaries: The font can be used in motion pictures, documentaries, or any similar type of video content broadcast or streamed on television or the web.

3. Unacceptable Uses

The Font Software may not be used for:

  • Non-Broadcast Use: The font cannot be used for non-broadcast or non-streaming purposes (e.g., in printed materials, video games, or website design) unless separate licenses (e.g., Desktop, Web, App) are obtained.

  • Merchandise: The font cannot be used in products for sale (e.g., branded merchandise, clothing, etc.) unless an appropriate Merchandise License is purchased.

  • Redistribution: The font cannot be embedded or redistributed in a way that allows viewers or users to extract or reuse the font files.

4. Font Installation

The Font Software may be installed on up to 5 computers or workstations used in the production of broadcast or streaming content. If more users or devices need access to the font, additional licenses must be purchased.

5. Third Party Usage

You may provide the Font Software to a broadcast or video production company, streaming service, or other third-party provider working on your project, as long as:

  • They use the font exclusively for your broadcast or streaming content.

  • They agree to the terms of this Agreement.

  • They delete all copies of the font upon completion of the project.

You may not redistribute the Font Software to any other third parties.

6. Embedding the Font

You are permitted to embed the Font Software in broadcast or streaming content for use in titles, credits, and other on-screen text. However, the font cannot be embedded in a way that allows viewers to extract or modify the font files. It must remain part of the video content and not be editable by others.

7. Modifications

You may modify the font by adjusting its size, color, or position in the context of your broadcast or streaming content. However, you may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the Font Software itself without prior written consent from The Northern Block Ltd.

8. Ownership

All rights to the Font Software remain with The Northern Block Ltd. This license grants you the right to use the font in your broadcast or streaming project, but you do not acquire ownership of the Font Software itself.

9. Termination

This Agreement will automatically terminate if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Font Software in your broadcast or streaming content and delete all copies of the font.

10. Warranty and Liability

  • Warranty: The Licensor warrants that the Font Software will perform as expected for 30 days after installation. During this period, if any issues occur, you may contact the Licensor for support and resolution.

  • Limitation of Liability: The Licensor is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Font Software, including lost profits or business interruptions.

11. Redistribution

You may not redistribute the Font Software. The font is licensed solely for use in your broadcast or streaming content and may not be resold, transferred, or shared with others.

12. General Terms

  • Modifications: The Licensor reserves the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time. The Licensee is bound by the most current version of the Agreement.

  • Jurisdiction: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
