Desktop License Agreement

This Desktop License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and The Northern Block Ltd (the "Licensor") for the use of font software ("Font Software").

By downloading, installing, or using the Font Software, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not permitted to use the Font Software.

1. Number of Users

The Font Software is licensed for use on a single user’s desktop. The Licensee may install the Font Software on up to 5 computers within the same office or network. If additional users require access, a separate Desktop License must be purchased for each user.

2. Acceptable Uses

The Font Software may be used for the following purposes:

  • Print Projects: Including printed materials such as brochures, business cards, posters, and logos.

  • Commercial & Personal Use: You can use the font for both personal and commercial projects, including printed marketing materials, branding, and design.

  • Internal Use: The Font Software may be used for creating designs for internal or general business purposes.

3. Unacceptable Uses

The Font Software may not be used for:

  • Logo or Trademark: The font cannot be used as part of a copyrighted logo or trademark, unless a separate Logo License is obtained.

  • E-commerce Products: The font cannot be embedded in e-commerce products or merchandise for resale (e.g., clothing, software, digital products, etc.) unless a different license is purchased.

  • Web Usage: The font cannot be used for websites, web applications, or online use unless a Web License is purchased.

  • Software or Games: The font cannot be used in software applications or video games unless a separate OEM or Video Game License is purchased.

4. Font Installation

The Font Software may be installed on up to 5 desktop computers within the same office or network. If you need to install the font on more than 5 devices, you must purchase additional licenses.

5. Third Party Usage

You may provide the Font Software to a designer, printer, or service provider working on your behalf, as long as:

  • They use the font exclusively for your project.

  • They agree to the terms of this Agreement.

  • They delete all copies of the font upon completion of the work.

You may not distribute the Font Software to any other third parties.

6. Embedding the Font

You may not embed the Font Software in websites or other electronic documents unless a Web License is obtained. Embedding the font in a secured, non-editable format (like a static image) is allowed for personal use but requires a Web License for any commercial or public use.

7. Modifications

The Licensee may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Font Software. However, you may import characters from the font as graphical objects and modify them in design programs (e.g., Adobe Illustrator) as part of your design work.

8. Ownership

All rights to the Font Software remain with The Northern Block Ltd. The Licensee is granted only the rights explicitly described in this Agreement. You do not acquire ownership of the Font Software itself.

9. Termination

This Agreement will terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately destroy the Font Software and any copies you have made. If you wish to continue using the font after termination, you must purchase a new license.

10. Warranty and Liability

  • Warranty: The Licensor warrants that the Font Software will perform as expected for 30 days after installation. During this period, if any issues occur, you may contact the Licensor for support and resolution.

  • Limitation of Liability: The Licensor is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Font Software, including lost profits or business interruptions.

11. Redistribution

You may not redistribute the Font Software. It is for your use only and cannot be shared or sold to others. The font may only be used by the Licensee and any third parties working on their behalf under the terms of this Agreement.

12. General Terms

  • Modifications: The Licensor reserves the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time. The Licensee is bound by the most current version of the Agreement.

  • Jurisdiction: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
