Video Game License Agreement

This Video Game License Agreement (the "Agreement") is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and The Northern Block Ltd (the "Licensor") for the use of font software ("Font Software") in video game development.

By downloading, installing, or using the Font Software for your video game project, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not agree with these terms, you are not permitted to use the Font Software in your video game.

1. Number of Users

The Font Software is licensed for use by the Licensee in the development of one video game or interactive software. The license covers the use of the font in a single game or software product. If you need to use the font in multiple games or applications, you will need to purchase additional licenses.

2. Acceptable Uses

The Font Software may be used for the following purposes:

  • Game Titles & Credits: The font may be used in game titles, credits, menus, and in-game text for video games and interactive software.

  • In-Game Text: The font may be used for on-screen text within the game, including dialogue, UI elements, subtitles, and other textual content.

  • Interactive Software: The font can be used for non-game interactive software, such as educational programs, simulations, or other interactive media.

3. Unacceptable Uses

The Font Software may not be used for:

  • Non-Game Commercial Use: The font may not be used for commercial products unrelated to video games or interactive software unless additional licenses (such as App or OEM License) are purchased.

  • Resale or Redistribution: The font cannot be redistributed or embedded in a way that allows it to be extracted or reused by others, unless an OEM License is obtained.

  • In-Game Merchandising: The font cannot be embedded in physical products for resale (e.g., clothing, merchandise) unless a separate Merchandise License is purchased.

4. Font Installation

The Font Software may be installed on up to 5 development machines for the purpose of game development. If more users require access to the font for game development, each additional user will need to purchase a separate license.

5. Third Party Usage

You may provide the Font Software to a developer, designer, or third-party contractor working on your video game, as long as:

  • They use the font exclusively for your game development project.

  • They agree to the terms of this Agreement.

  • They delete all copies of the font upon completion of the project.

You may not redistribute the Font Software to any other third parties for any purpose outside of video game development.

6. Embedding the Font

You are permitted to embed the Font Software in the video game for use in titles, credits, and in-game text. However, the font cannot be embedded in a way that allows users to extract or modify the font files.

7. Modifications

You may modify the font by altering text or design elements within the game (e.g., resizing, color changes, or text placement) for the purposes of game development. However, you may not modify the Font Software itself, create derivative works, or alter the font's design without prior written consent from The Northern Block Ltd.

8. Ownership

All rights to the Font Software remain with The Northern Block Ltd. This license grants you the right to use the font in your video game or interactive software, but you do not acquire ownership of the Font Software itself.

9. Termination

This Agreement will automatically terminate if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Font Software in your video game and destroy all copies of the font.

10. Warranty and Liability

  • Warranty: The Licensor warrants that the Font Software will perform as expected for 30 days after installation. During this period, if any issues occur, you may contact the Licensor for support and resolution.

  • Limitation of Liability: The Licensor is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Font Software, including lost profits or business interruptions.

11. Redistribution

You may not redistribute the Font Software. The font is licensed solely for use in your video game and may not be resold, transferred, or shared with other parties.

12. General Terms

  • Modifications: The Licensor reserves the right to modify the terms of this Agreement at any time. The Licensee is bound by the most current version of the Agreement.

  • Jurisdiction: This Agreement is governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
